"Inter-code rivalry can be just as fierce as the clashes on the playing field. As unpalatable as it may seem, it is time for the ARL and NRL to learn a thing or two from the AFL and to raise the standards of acceptable behaviour on the field and off the field, for players and supporters.

Indigenous Education 2010: New CIS Policy Monograph

Indigenous Education 2010 analyses trends in Indigenous schooling. There has been no improvement for a decade.

The government's target for Indigenous education has slipped from 1997's 'fix all the problems by 2002' to today's' 'fix half the problems by 2018'. Even if the Prime Minister's target of halving the gap between Indigenous and non Indigenous student's achievement rates by 2018 is achieved, Indigenous failure rates will still be more than 30% higher than non-Indigenous failure rates.
